Mythe 1: “Een head spa is gewoon een uitgebreide haarwassessie”<\/h2>\n

Dit is verreweg het vaakst gehoorde misverstand. Begrijpelijk, want van buitenaf lijkt het alsof er haar gewassen wordt. Maar het verschil zit hem in het doel en de techniek.<\/p>\n

With an ordinary hair-wash session you clean the hair. With a head spa treatment you clean the scalp. That sounds the same, but it is not. The scalp is the source of every hair. Sebum glands, sweat, dead skin cells and hair products build up on that skin every day. A normal shampoo cleans the hair shaft; a head spa treatment removes those build-ups from the skin itself, in a deeper way.<\/p>\n

A typical head spa session includes: a scalp analysis (optionally with a scanning device), a scrub or enzymatic cleanse, steam or heat to open the pores, a targeted massage phase for circulation and relaxation, and a final hydration or tailored treatment. That is a different service from a wash, even though water is involved.<\/p>\n

Mythe 2: “Voor een head spa heb je altijd een vaste wateraansluiting nodig”<\/h2>\n

Deze mythe houdt veel salons tegen die er anders enthousiast over zouden zijn. Wie geen ruimte heeft voor een extra wasbak, of in een pand zit waar een wateraansluiting verbouwen niet mogelijk is, denkt dat head spa buiten bereik ligt. Dat klopt niet meer.<\/p>\n

Mythe 3: “Head spa heeft alleen zin als je haarproblemen hebt”<\/h2>\n

Klanten denken soms dat een head spa-behandeling enkel voor mensen is met roos, een vette hoofdhuid, haaruitval of een droge hoofdhuid. Dat is een te beperkte kijk, en in de praktijk zijn je best betalende klanten net degenen die geen probleem hebben.<\/p>\n
