The biggest difference between our head spa devices is in the water connection. Fixed beds work on a direct plumbing connection with a ceramic basin, mobile units on a built-in water tank with an acrylic basin. This table puts the two families side by side.

Buying a head spa: what to look for?

Before you order a head spa, it's smart to weigh up five things. That way you choose a device that lasts for years and fits your space.

• Do you have a water connection? This is the most important question. With a fixed plumbing connection (hot, cold and drain) you choose a fixed bed with a ceramic basin. Without a connection you choose a mobile unit with a built-in water tank.
• Basin material. Our fixed beds have a ceramic basin that doesn't yellow like cheaper acrylic. The mobile units use an acrylic basin, which makes sense as they work with a tank.
• Working height and bed shape. An S-shape mattress at European working height (80 cm) is more comfortable for the client and spares your therapist's back in daily work. Straight models are slightly more compact and cheaper.
• Reliability. We deliberately choose models with a direct water connection or simple circulation, without fragile pumps and boilers that cause problems within a year. We keep spare parts in stock.

Fixed head spa beds with a ceramic basin

The fixed head spa beds work on a direct water connection, just like an ordinary sink: hot, cold and drain. No pumps or boilers that break down. Every fixed bed has a ceramic basin, a sturdy steel frame with a load capacity of around 200 kg, upholstery in vegan PU faux leather, a 2-litre steam machine, an aluminium rainbow shower head and an LED light in the basin. Some models also have ambient lighting around the bed. The steam opens the pores so your T-LAB hair products work in better, and relaxes the scalp. With every fixed bed comes a chair on wheels for the practitioner.

Mobile head spa without a water connection

No plumbing connection in the treatment room? The mobile head spa units work with a built-in water tank and an acrylic basin, on an ordinary power socket. You fill the reservoir and off you go: ideal if you want to offer head spa flexibly, want no plumbing work, or want to try out the treatment first. The mobile units also have a 2-litre steam machine and an LED light in the basin. They can be combined with any treatment bed or massage table that can be set to a height of 70 cm.

• Mobile Head Spa (from €1,295): entry model with a 60-litre water tank.
• Mobile Head Spa Pro (from €1,495): the most popular mobile unit, 50 litres of clean water plus a 15-litre waste water tank, with touch controls and LED lighting.

Fixed or mobile? A decision guide for salons

The choice between a fixed bed and a mobile unit mainly depends on your space and your ambition.

• Choose a fixed head spa bed if you have a fixed treatment room with a plumbing connection and want the premium experience: continuous warm water, a ceramic basin, no filling or emptying of tanks, and a 3-year warranty. The fixed beds are delivered fully assembled in one piece.
• Choose a mobile head spa if you want to stay flexible, don't want to install a water connection or want to test head spa first. No installation needed: plug into the socket, fill the reservoir, done. Combinable with a treatment table at 70 cm high.

Practical info: delivery, installation, warranty, leasing and training

Delivery. We deliver within 1 to 2 weeks in the Benelux, via DHL. You can also collect it at our showroom in Herselt, by appointment. For destinations outside the Benelux, we prepare a tailored shipping quote.

Installation. A fixed bed is delivered fully assembled in one piece. The connection to the water supply and drain (standard plumbing work) is arranged by you or through your own installer, and we provide guidance by phone where needed. A mobile unit requires no installation. The foot bath models (Headspa met Voetbad and Headspa Foot Deluxe) need an extra water connection for the foot bath.

Warranty. The fixed head spa beds come with 3-year warranty, on the mobile units 1 year. For consumers, the statutory 2-year warranty always applies on top of this, in full. The warranty applies with correct use and maintenance according to the manual and does not cover wear parts.

Leasing. For businesses in Belgium and the Netherlands, leasing via Grenke is possible from €64 per month over 36 months for the Japanese Head Spa. That keeps your working capital free and you start earning from the very first treatments. Amounts are indicative and become final after approval by Grenke. Training. Optionally, you take the two-day, 1-on-1 head spa training with an official certificate at our training partner Belliza, 10 minutes from the showroom. The training costs €750 excl. VAT for one participant, and a second participant can join for €375. You learn both the theory of the scalp and the practice, and which products of T-LAB Professional (the scalp line you use during the treatment) matches which scalp concern. Frequently asked questions about buying a head spa

Do I need a water connection for a head spa?

For the fixed beds, yes: they work on a direct connection with hot water, cold water and drain, just like a sink. If you don't have a connection, you choose a mobile unit with a built-in water tank that simply runs on a power socket.

What is the difference between a ceramic and an acrylic basin?

Our fixed beds have a ceramic basin that doesn't yellow and is sturdy in use. The mobile units use an acrylic basin because they work with an internal tank. Both are suitable for daily salon use.

How quickly does a head spa pay for itself?

An average treatment in the Benelux earns 65 to 110 euros and clients return every four to six weeks. With a few treatments a week, a device often pays for itself within weeks. You can request a calculation tailored to your salon.

Is the training required?

No, the two-day training at Belliza is always optional. We do strongly recommend it if you have no experience yet with head spa treatments, so your staff truly masters the technique. The training is given in Dutch and English.

Yes. In our showroom in Herselt the models are set up so you can feel the comfort of the S-shape and the difference between fixed and mobile yourself. Visit by appointment.
