Built around comfort,
with a warm wooden finish.
The Headspa Yokohama has a thicker mattress with an S-shape that follows the natural curve of the back. Your client lies in it far more naturally than on a flat bed, and you feel that difference especially during longer treatments of 60 to 90 minutes: no pressure on the lower back, just staying fully relaxed from start to finish.
The 80 cm working height is a must here: you glide your chair fully under the ergonomic basin and work with a straight back instead of leaning forward. Anyone doing several treatments day after day feels that immediately in back and neck.
What makes the Yokohama extra special is the warm wooden design finish around the steel frame: the same reliable ceramic basin and direct water connection, in a look that makes your salon just that bit warmer.
Head Spa training & experience

Direct water connection

Industry insightWhy cheap head spa beds always break down
Three moments when salons that chose a budget unit approach us. Not to persuade, just the patterns we've seen repeat since 2024.
The acrylic starts to yellow.
Subtle at first, a light yellow haze around the drain. Then obvious: every client sees it. Acrylic is porous and reactive: hair dye, oxidising water and treatment products penetrate the material. Cleaning no longer helps. The basin looks unhygienic, even though it isn't.
The 12V pump stops in the middle of a treatment.
Cheap fixed beds work with a 12V pump and internal water tank. Those pumps survive 10–14 months on average with commercial use. It stops without warning, often with a client on the bed, soap in the hair, and no spare part in stock. Container time from Asia: 4–8 weeks.
Full replacement needed.
By month 18–24, the bed is cosmetically and technically worn out. Clients notice it, treatments get interrupted, reviews drop. The salon faces a choice: another acrylic basin (the same cycle over 24 months) or upgrading to a ceramic installation. Most choose MediRelaxa at that point.
A cheap head spa bed costs not €1,500 less. It costs the difference + 2 years of replacement + interrupted client appointments + bad reviews. A MediRelaxa ceramic installation costs more upfront, but once every 5+ years. That's not a luxury choice, that's arithmetic.
See the MediRelaxa approach →Cheap acrylic basin vs. solid ceramic.
For those still wondering whether the price jump is worth it, the honest comparison, based on what we see at salons coming to replace their existing acrylic bed.
Who this is suitable forTwo profiles, one bed
Head Spa Yokohama is chosen based on what you find important: maximum comfort during every treatment, or maximum time saving per day. Both profiles find their bed here.
People or salons that opt for maximum comfort.
At 80 cm working height you work with a straight back, no more back complaints after a long day of treatments. For the client: a thicker mattress in S-shape that follows the natural curve of the back, significantly more comfortable than a flat bed.
- 80 cm working height, ergonomic for the therapist
- Ergonomic S-shape mattress, anatomically supported
- Thicker upholstery for long treatments
Professional salons that value time saving .
For salons with many treatments a day, the direct water connection saves a significant amount of time. No refilling water, no heating a tank, no pumps that falter, you simply open the tap. Constant pressure and temperature, treatment after treatment.
- Direct water connection, no tank, no pumps
- Constant pressure & temperature
- No maintenance downtime between clients

Help when you need it
Something not working or have a question? Just call us during working hours. We help you quickly, usually the same day, and parts are ready with us.
We guide you from A to Z
From your choice to the setup in your salon: advice in the showroom, help with installation, explanation of the treatment and 30 days of extra help for your first clients. One fixed point of contact.
What salons usually ask
before they decide.
How long does delivery take?
1–2 weeks when in stock, 4–6 weeks for a custom configuration or special colour. You get the exact timing in the quote.
Do you handle the installation?
No, installation is not included in the price. The bed arrives fully assembled in one piece, ready to use. You do the water and drain connection yourself or through your own installer (standard plumbing work). Every bed comes with a clear manual and we guide you by phone where needed.
Can I convert the bed into a massage table?
Yes. Turn the water arch around, place the extra cushion on the basin, and you have a flat massage table with a face hole. The same bed, two services.
How does your ceramic differ from acrylic?
Acrylic is cheaper to produce but inevitably yellows from hair dye, oxidising water and treatment products. Ceramic is non-porous and non-reactive: cleanable like an ordinary sink, and still looks identical after 5 years.
What if the bed breaks down?
3-year warranty on the complete bed, not just the frame. Spare parts permanently in stock in Herselt.
Does leasing also work for newly started businesses?
Grenke works from 1 year of activity. Younger than that? Then we look at a personal guarantee or cash with spreading. Call us before you decide not to buy, we usually find a way.
